2017 Three Saints Pinot Noir
2017 was a straightforward vintage with moderate yields and a good pace to ripening. With heat spells right around the final ripening stages, we elected to bring in much of the fruit ahead of, and into, the heat spell. The wine has a beautiful ethereal quality as a result, with finesse, lithe and charm.
Three Saints Pinot is a marriage of blocks. Those farmed specifically to introduce people to Santa Barbara County Pinot Noir, as well as lots selected from our more esteemed estate plantings. The finesse and charm of 2017 required a little boost from stem inclusion and just a kiss of new oak to add a bit of finishing structure to the wine.
Classic red fruits lifted with a floral and earthy quality that is signature to other Santa Barbara County Pinot Noirs. This wine is a wonderful example of fresh Pinot Noir from the region. Charming and easy drinking. Enjoy!
