2018 Dierberg Syrah, Dierberg Vineyard, SMV

It is a poorly kept secret that I love Syrah, and I love Syrah with Viognier tastefully co-fermented. Its hard to say why, but this wine helps answer that question. It has both dark fruits, exotic floral character, and something incredibly savory. How does a plant do this?! Additionally, the warmer ripening period created a bit more generosity, which can be trouble for some Syrahs, but this one wears it well by retaining a very fresh finish. Enjoy for many, many years!
